If you were permanently banned from your current job, what new profession would you choose?
My job involves establishing communication and systemic processes in order to provide better educational opportunities for Ukrainian schoolchildren. Therefore, if I had to choose another profession, I would work in a field with a similar social mission, such as pediatrics.
If you could become a character in a book or movie, which one would you choose?
I would like to become a journalist from the movie “The Handmaid’s Tale” so that I could talk to the many female nannies who played a significant role in the educational process of the middle class in the United States. Since they worked in conditions of racial discrimination, their work deserves more than any award from educators.
What is the last quote that made you think?
“If you have an apple and I have an apple, and we exchange apples, you and I each have one apple. And if you have an idea and I have an idea, and we exchange apples, we each have two ideas.” – George Bernard Shaw.
If you were to go to Hogwarts, which house would the Sorting Hat choose for you?
Slytherin would probably be your best bet, as I like a team of focused leaders who take risks.
Describe yourself in one word.
A team player.
What inspires you?
Children and their genuine passions. Sometimes I find myself thinking that I love watching children work on projects where they are challenged, learning, and achieving.
If someone wrote a biographical book about you, what would it be called?
“About the one who was lucky enough to find herself”
If you could invite any historical figure to dinner, who would you choose?
I would be happy to chat with Marie Curie, a prominent chemist who has been breaking stereotypes about women in STEM since the late 19th century. It’s interesting to learn what drives hard work on a global scale.
